Default 331 Question

What machine work is required to make a 331 stroker kit work in a 302 block.

I dont know if its required for the 331 kits, but I know for the 347 you have to have the cly skirts notched so the rod bolts dont hit. Other than that I think you just need the standard stuff done, plus you should have the rotating assembly balenced (a good thing for any rebuild)
If you already have the kit, you could mock it up to see if it will need clearancing.
Did I miss anything?

Absolutely positively get the rotating assembly balanced. This is not an option.

The block needs minor notching on the 331 like mentioned for the 347. Machine shop can fix you right up on that part.

Side note on the 331. HOLD ON! These motors SCREAM! You'll be happy with the outcome, trust me.
