Default The 1st of many Re-build questions

I'm on a pretty strict budget, but I wanna spray 150-175 shot of gas, how much HP will stock Rods & Crank handle? With TRW (or equivelent forged pistons) what will be my weakest link? Do I need a main girdle? main studs? I am gonna use ARP wave-loc rod bolts but was unsure about reusing the stock main bolts, bad idea??

You are going to have to upgrade your fuel system for sure.
Those stock 5/16 lines are not going to cut it anymore. You will also need a higher flowing fuel pump with an adjustable regulator.
I'm in the process of upgrading my system with 1/2 line from tank to carb. to get ready for nitrous.

I've already got 190lph in-tank pump & FPR. I've never heard of upgrading fuel lines on an EFI street car, rails maybe but stock ones are supposed to be good to like 350 HP I think.

Yeah but you figure the HP you already have now..say 250 and then add another 100hp of nitrous, you're borderline already.
The last thing you want with nitrous is a lean condition.

You''l be fine with the stock fuel lines. plenty of people running nitrousor blowers and making close to 500 hp with stock lines. just make sure you have a good fuel pump, which you have with the 190. back down the timeing and run good gas like 92-93 octane and you will fine.

That doesn't make it "ok"

For his "budget" build he will probably get by with the stock lines. But as 82gt pointed out, his potential is definately gonna be based off the smaller lines.

Can I reuse stock main cap bolts?

I wouldn't. ARP fasteners are cheap insurance. Girdle is worth the money too.

And for the record, I wanna SEE a 500hp motor running on 5/16" fuel line. Sure, I can give you 1,000 psi fuel pressure if you want, but the volume just isn't there. You should be able to sneak by, but I'd definitely look at it in the near future. 1/2" aluminum hard line is cheap enough also.
