![]() i need to find out if i need a new oil pump and pickup tube or is ther one that will bolt on to the oil pump of a double sump pan.

![]() Are you putting a 351 in your mustang and need to use the double sump pan? Actually the 302's pickup tube will work. But the 351's oil pump is longer than the 302's so a dual sump pan from a 302 will not bolt up to the 351. The 351's pump will hit the bottom of the oil pan before it will even get close to bolting up. I went through this about 2 years ago when I did my swap. Since you have to buy a pan, you might as well get the pickup that is made for that pan. Or if you get the ford racing one, it comes with the pickup tube.
