Post 351W C9 69 heads

Are these any good, if so how much better are they than a stock 5.0 head.

I ask cause they are on E-bay right now and I might want to buy.

The heads will have bigger ports, valves 1.84/154 and CC of 60.4. There will be no spot for your air tubes as they are non emmision. For the right price they would be good, but emmisions might be a concern to you. Also you will need sleeves for your headbolts as the headbolt bores on the 351 are larger. You also may need different pushrod length.

Wink

The 69 heads are fair, some things to consider though? They will need harden valve seats to run unlead fuel. The pushrods should be fine same length as stock 302.
Valve job and milling the heads you will have a good $400.00 into them plus the orginal price paid for the heads. For some more coins there are many good aftermark heads available that will outflow these without mods and have a major manufactures warranty to boot. Plus they will be emissions legal if needed. Just my thought though, I certainlky don't know all of the answers, maybe they have already been upgraded, with harden seats and new guides and have be milled then maybe..

No it says that these heads are untouched I thought maybe they would be good for $200.00 but I think I will continue my search for some GT-40's

Thanks

I would also suggest looking at the GT40-P heads, as well as the Windsor and Windsor Jrs., if cast iron is what you want. I believe all of them can be purchased for around $600-800/pair, complete.
