![]() I would just measure it if I were you.
I had the same question when I was changing out all my bushings. Seemed to be many sizes to choose from. Avoid returns and put your trusty calipers to use.

![]() I believe mine was only 1 1/16, I found this out after buying 86-93 front swaybar bushings which were for a 1 3/16

![]() Well, my problem is that I don't have calipers to measure correctly. What I did was took a piece of wire and wrapped around the bar and then measured that. I got a circumference of 3.75 inches. I then took the formula for the the circumference of a circle and transposed it to get the Diameter---D=Pi*D and then got 1.19 inches. So now I am wondering if it's 1 1/16 or 1 1/8 which is closer to what I figured.
This sucks because I don't want to be wrong. I was going to go with the 1 1/8 measurement until red82GT said that.

![]() You can try your trusty monkey wrench.
Adjust it to fit the bar and then carefully measure without bumping those "extremely accurate" jaws. Try to measure with at least a six inch scale or something better. Good Luck, Dan

![]() Thanks Deez, I was at PST performance website last night and they had an article on how to measure sway bars and they said the same thing you said.
I don't know why I did'n't think of that!

![]() Tonight I measured like Deez said to do with the adjustable wrench and I got about 1-1/16 but I am sure that is not an exact figure. So it's more than likely the same as red82GT's
Dark Knight also gave me a good idea about swapping a set from an 87-93 model. I guesss since I upgrading the front brakes and rebuilding the front suspension I may as well upgrade the sway bars.

![]() Front sway bar is 1.125" which is 1 and an 1/8th
Rear sway bar is .55" http://www.mustanggt.org/main.htm I know you can not believe everything that you find on the internet but this is where I found it.

![]() When I was at the parts store I asked the man what all the different sizes where thinking there would be maybe 3 or 4 different sizes that I could compare with my crude measurement method but there was a bunch of different sizes that were made. I know for sure it's either 1-1/8 or 1-3/16
