Default 353 rwhp 1/4 time?

What do you guys think I should run at the track with 353 rwhp. My car weighs 3450lbs.

ET your car is capable of: 12.44
MPH your car is capable of: 109
Given ideal conditions, this is roughly the elapsed time (ET) and mile per hour (MPH) your Mustang could run.

Working backward from the Flywheel HP from trap speed formula you should be capable of over 114mph
353rwhp*1.15 to correct to approx. flywheel hp.=406
406hp/3450lbs=0.1177
0.1177 cube root=0.4900
0.4900*234=114.7mph.

So then it would be...

ET CALCULATOR RESULTS
ET your car is capable of: 11.89
MPH your car is capable of: 114
Given ideal conditions, this is roughly the elapsed time (ET) and mile per hour (MPH) your Mustang could run.

Right???

Sorry for the inaccurate guess, I was just going by the instructions...

ET CALCULATOR
Calculate your potential ET from your "chassis dyno figures" or from total available HP results from the horsepower calculator:

a good driver with slicks and around 300rwhp can hit high 11's with great conditions.

So I'd guess your car will probably run mid to high 11's.

get that thing to a track and let us know!

good luck,
-Drew

309 RWHP and 310 TQ in my 3000 lb race weight car got me 12.1 @ 112.xx. So with the added weight of your car I would guess high 11's around 114. Maybe better with that killer torque you've got.

Is 3450 lbs your race weight (with you in the car)? The reason I ask is that 3450 seems a little heavy for an LX. My LX Coupe tipped the scales at 3040 w/o me and a 1/4 tank. So, with me (190 lbs) and a little more gas I would guess my race weight is around 3250.

Just an observation.

Also, I'm going to guess mid-low 12's @ 113.

...there really is only one way to find out. Like mentioned, take it to the track and lets us know! With all these guesstimates, my curiousity has been sparked. Get us some real world figures, PLEASE?

I hope to do the same myself, SOON!!!

BTW, what about 340rwhp + 200hp nitrous? I come up with a goal of low 10's. Low 11's off spray rowing a Jerico @ 3100 lbs. race weight (me in the car)

What do you guys come up with?

Thanks...

Thumbs up

FRANK, what track are you going to go to find out how fast your car is? New England Dragway? Keep me posted, my car isn't done yet, but I'd love to see you run your car and put a 11 on the 'board.

I will be going to e-town in May, a friend has the track rented for the day. Hopefully I can get into the 11's. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.
