Default 396?

Hey guys, I was wanting some opinions on a 396 build I am thinking of starting. The company sells the crank for around $400 and it is a 3.85" stroke. They recommend using stock 351W rods and 302 pistons. This would be a fairly cheap build compared to one of the 396 kits that I have seen. I plan on using victor jr. heads, .600" solid roller cam, super victor intake, and a 750 double pumper. I am debating on this build or just building a high compression 351 using about .150 dome pistons and the same parts as listed above. The motor will be run with nitrous (150-200 shot) using a C-4 and 4.10 gears. I know it is recommended to use a steel crank and better rods, but that is out of my budget. I would appreciate your opinions. thanks
