4 banger to V8 swap?
 

I've got a stock '87 stang 5-speed with an injected 2.3L.. im thinkin of swapping to a carb. 427... really all i wanna know is, will i have to change the bell housing on my trans. to make it bolt up to the engine? and if so what year(s) can i get the bell housing off of? thanks

You will have to buy a new bell houseing. I know the 2.3L bell houseing bolts up to the 5.0 block, but not to the T5 tranny at the same time. Since a 427 is just a little bigger then your 2.3L ;) it might not fit.

if the bell housing you have was for a 2.3 with a t5 ill trade you a 5.0 bellhousing for yours i need it for a turbo 4 clynder conversioncall me 845 656 0298
