Well, on stock rockers I never thought there was a procedure so no, but there seems to be no play at all in the rockers. We did go by procedure for the 1.6's on my TW heads for the coupe and never had probelms. I do have another mass air meter from my coupe, stock one. You really think a bad mass air meter could cause 4 cyilinders not to fire at all?

Well, swapped dist and nothing changed, new computer, nothing changed. It started to backfire through the intake, which means the firing order is wrong or off. We verified it by the book and it was correct. we took the 4 wires off that weren't firing and put one on every terminal until it fired, and did that with the remaining three, now it runs great. That's all it was, the freaking firing order. But now I have firing order that is in no book anywhere. Go figure. ANyway, thanks for all of the help and let this be one for the books for the future.

Let me guess, your "new" firing order is 1-8-4-5-6-2-7-3.

If not, what is it. Also, which way, clockwise or counterclockwise, did you run the firing order around the distributor cap?
