I went the Currie route about a year ago for an 8" 3rd member. They take a used 8" case and put in all new parts. The whole thing with shipping was about $900. I went with the 3.25s and TSD. Any ratio you pick is the same price.
I'm pretty happy with it. I've beat on it a bit without any problems. Although, I'm not pushing over 300 hp. They say the 8"s are good to about 300 hp.

I've always heard they are good to about 300hp too. Is that 300hp at the rear wheels or at the motor? I guess it would be at the wheels which would mean about 350 or so at the motor which I'm no where close to. I took mine to the track and made 4 passes on slicks. No problems.
