460
is it feasible and economical to put a 460 in a DD? i've seen a conversion kit for the 460 in jegs and i'm really thinking about this when my 302 takes a shit(knock on wood)

Re: 460
I have seen a 460 swapped mustang in person and I wouldnt go that route..
They had to beat the hell out of the tranny tunnel and fire wall. Not to mention it looked like it would be very hard to work on. If I wanted big cubes I would go with a 408 stroker. |
Re: 460
ok and how do i do that?
i really dont want to get a s/c or nos...i just want cubes:D lots and LOTS of cubes w/o the weight...or atleast trim it down to the bear minimum...and this is going to be my DD(or almost) on 93 pump gas with the occational lucas occ. booster. |
Re: 460
i would go with the stroked 351 too cheaper parts ...lots of power...but man the braging rights of stroking a 460 to a 557 plus cubes

Re: 460
u will save alot stayin with a stroked 351(408) take a look at the parts

Re: 460
If you want to save weight, forget the 460 and think about a stroked 302 Dart to 363....With some compression, that would get you into the 10's easy.
