It sounds like you still have all of the emissions "crap" still hooked up...In that case I would keep this emissions pipe connected.

It will be easier down the road to do future swaps if everything is all there...if it is too short, just use a piece of heater hose and some ring clamps and make it as long as you need it...

Are you removing your cats from the X-pipe?

I just welded a bolt in the hole on mine. Those lines run from the pump to the back of the heads. There is a junction block on each head with a bolt in it. Remove them. Then to fill the hole in the back of the heads just cut the lines off of the junction block and flip them over and bolt them back on making sure you have the holes completely covered with the block.

can I weld the pipe to the off road x pipe? The thing is that I had the muffler guys make me two pipes in the same diameter of the x pipe that way i can just cut the cats out and placa the pipes in their place, making it a straight through exhaust with out the cats. Can I weld the little pipe to the pipes that the muffler guy made for me?????

If your X-pipe has cats, wouldn't it just been cheaper to sell it to someone who wants one with cats then buy an offroad one?

(I for one am looking for one)

On the Flowmaster H-pipe I have, there's a little connection for it right on the pipe. All it does is route the air pump's flow into the exhaust stream. I'd highly suggest you not just block it off, otherwise you risk blowing the pump or the control valves. Just tie it against something and let it blow into the air, or cut a hole in the exhaust and weld the silly thing in.

I agree with Smokey, sell the x with cats and buy a new one, or trade straight up. I have the off road and wish I'd gone with the cats, but they were $200 more and I didn't have the cash. It sure ain't going to add much to your combo, at least not enough to make it worth doing. If you had heads or a blower or something it might be worth it, but your wasting your money if your looking for hp.
