Cool 5.0 Heaven again

I went to the track Wed night. I had put a new cam from cam motion 216 @ 50, and 531lift. I guess it was better. I ran a slew of 12.20s at 110 on street tires. 1.6 60fts even a 1.61. Well the 7th pass, I was warming the tires, 2nd gear at 5500. Then a shotgun like blast BOOM! steam came out of the hood and the starter came running and the red lights started flashing on the tree.
I now have the car home. It appears that the crank is broken. I will pull it down Sat. I hope that my heads are still good, but I will be ordering a 408 motor real soon.

That's the spirit! I like your attitude: Break something? OH well, let's just build it bigger and better next time!

Sweet. Keep us post on the build-up.

Cool

Tireburner, I'm not dead, the "Grinch" is though. It just so happens that I have been spending MY time with my wonderful girlfreind. And realility has set in, it will not be a 408. I wish it was so but for now a healthy 331 will be dropped in. I will try to post pics of the explosion, it is badass. The #1 main cap cracked and it all went to heaven after that.

By STREET tires, do you mean ET STREETS? Thats gotta be a suspension sent down by the gods to get those 60ft's on regular street radials.

What were the tires, and what is your suspension setup like anyway?
