I installed a 5.0 HO engine from a 1991 Tbird in a 1966 fastback. I adapted the original wiring harness. It runs fine, but the oil pressure and temperature gauges now read the max temp and oil pressure. I just connected the 1966 wires to the 1991 sensors. I guess the sensors are sending too much voltage to the 1966 gauges. I tossed the old sensors, so I can't easily experiment. If I install 1966 sensors will the gauges read correctly? Any ideas?
