Currently I have a 1967 3 speed with a straight six (200 ci). I'm looking to put in a C4 or C6 transmission with a 302 or 289. My latest task has been trying to hunt down the two so I can start rebuilding them. My biggest concern is the engine block because I can probably scare up a bell housing for the tranmission. For 302's also had a truck block and I wanted to find more information on this issue so I could stay away from those engines. I've also played around with the idea that I could put an AOD-E transmission with proper set up. I did find a book on Ford Engine Interchangeability but nothing for transmissions. Thanks for your reply.
