I just love my 5.0
I just like my 5.0 cause it sounds good, got that muscle feel. Not like these new wanna be high performance mustangs coming out. They sound like blowing air through a empty pipe. I wanna hear my damn motor when I mash my peddle to the floor (who cares if I am smoking some Honda jacked up on turbo sounding like a moped on speed) thats not the point. 4.6L's just dont give me that feeling, and oh yeah I also agree with prkwud and some other guys about the 5.0 fading not because the engine isnt any good cause we all know it is, but because the demand of the 5.0 engine is diminishining day by day, unfortunately the gas hog just doesnt compare to new import cars. Oh well, if I have to pay $4 a gallon just to fill up for the weekend I will do it lol.

GM is stopping production on their f body so there will be no domestic competition for the mustang so ford won't have to build anything to outdo the competition........Just a thought.........

I haven't even read all the threads, I'm just replying to one.
***abesmith69. They sound like blowing air through a empty pipe. I wanna hear my damn motor when I mash my peddle to the floor I think 4.6's sound dam* good with some exhaust and a X/H pipe. |
I guess they are alright, but nothin like a 5.0

Gas hog? What are you talking about? My 87GT gets 19-21cty/27-29hwy.
I don't consider that a "gas hog" Most high performance rice doesn't do much better than that. |
Who was talking about high performance? 5-6 years ago how many 87-93 mustangs could you count in a given day ? Alot. Take a ride through town today and count how many mustangs...then count how many 4 cyl rice burners you see... the difference is tremendous, I was saying that more people prefer a low-end, good gas mileage, affordable car than a high-end, lower gas mileage, costly car. Today a 2002 Mustang GT costs about 25-30k, go to Kia or Daewoo and you can get a car for 6-8k. Not saying I would ever lower myself to a 4 cyl car, just showing the numbers and how top end cars are fading.
Thanks, Abe |
