Default 5.8L crossover tube

I have a 351W I'm putting in my 93. Engine came w/o the air pump crossover tube (tube in back of motor that goes from head to head, I think it pumps air into the exhaust). I was going to cut the one from my 5.0 and attach it 2gether w/high heat hose. Then it would bolt to my 351.

Someone said not 2 do this as high heat hose isn't high heat enough, it could melt.

Can anyone verify this?
