5 lug 11" dia rotors for fox body

Hey does anybody know which 5 lug rotors will bolt onto the 87 up fox body spindles?

I'm converting to 5 lug wheels, but didn't want to spring for new brakes and rotors just to get 5 lugs (short of just finding a set of stock dia rotors fitted with 5 lugs)

Are they ranger hubs?

I'm converting next week to 5-lug, and I read in 5.0 mustang mag. that you can use 91' or older lincoln rotors. Thats what i'm using.

Yeah, I just spent about an hour at Autozone with my brother pouring over brake parts http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif

Lincoln Mark VII rotors will bolt up (same bearing sizes as the GT mustang with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt circle and 11" rotor diameter) They are part number 5463 (Autozone) and are the ABS rotors. However the hub for the wheel is about a 1/4" bigger in dia than the Mustang's and possibly needs to be machined down as I'm almost certain that Ford's wheels like most manufacturer's are hub centric (meaning the hub is used to locate the wheel rather than the lugs)

The rotors are about 80.00 bucks each, which isn't to bad I guess, I'm gonna get them payday and check things out. If they fit I'll take them to get the hub machined down and possibly cross-drilled (for that sexy look http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/biggrin.gif)

hey let me know if that does work.i want to change my 88gt to 5 lug.let me know what axles to use in the rear, also what brake drums.i hear the left side axles out of a ranger pick-up will work on either side of a stang. thanks Doug

Yeah, so far so good! They are a direct bolt on except for the wheel hub, but I'm going down on thirsday to get the hubs turned down a 1/4" (then again maybe all the 5-lug wheels have the larger hole?),

Probably next payday I'll check out some ranger axles and drums?

The mag. didn't say anything about having wider hubs or having to machine them, I'll check it out this Friday. As far as the rear goes, I called a scrap yard and they wanted $100 for the 88 ranger axles + I would have to buy the drums, so I think it's safer and about the same price to buy the FMS rear 5-lug drum conv., it comes with axles, drums, and c-clips for $188 at ramchargers.

I dont have a set of wheels handy to cross reference the new rotors. I gave my old pony wheels and GT rims away so its up on jack stands in the garage.

My brother has a friend who can machine the hubs down to the correct dia. So I think its gonna be a no cost modification and I'd rather get it done now before I slap everything on the car.

The FMS rear kit sounds like a good deal. I'll have to see if I can get it locally.

Ultimately I plan on building a complete disk brake rear
