Post Oil pressure

Just wondering about oil pressure, my stock gauge shows it as just above the first white line at idle (at the "L"), and then gets up to just above half way with a little throttle. That sound good? I don' tknow why i started thinking about it, jjust wonder what other people have. The car ha 88k miles on it.

Here's my experience. Mine was showing the same on the factory gauge, too. I finally gave in and bought an Autometer gauge.

25-psi @ idle
60-psi @ speed

All with 100,000 miles on the engine. Now the stories a bit different, 15 at idle, 40 at speed (40,000 miles later). Yep, I'm getting it rebuilt next week.

My McLarens never budged. 3/4 mark at all times. After the new gauge it shows, 30 @ idle, 70 @ speed.

My advice is to take what the stock gauges show with a grain of salt. Peace of mind is worth the new gauge, even if it's a cheapie from Wal-Mart.

I went out and started it up, and now its just above half at idle and a notch higher when revved! stupid inconsistencies. I'll see how it goes over the next few days.
