Transmission

I was looking into getting a pro 5.0 shifter for my stock transmission on my 98' 5-speed. Only one problem, i don't konw what my stock transmission is...Anybody either know or know how I can find out? Also, anyboy have any comments on the pro 5.0 shifter??
