Default Roots supercharger (like Kenne Bell)....who offers them?

I'm looking into a supercharger and i found that i personally like a twin screw, roots type supercharger alot more than a centrifugal because of the almost immediate boost and torque (i decided this especially after driving a F150 lightning compared to a Roush F150 both with 5.4L's, the lightning's boost was IMMEDIATE).

Anyways, who makes them anymore. I can't find a good web site for Kenne Bell, and and really like the idea of having a roots type supercharger, especially since it takes the place of the lower intake manifold. Can anyone please lead me in the right direction towards finding one.
Thank you,
Rick

Thanks, BowTie Eater 5 Liter,
That was very helpful. Unfortunately i can't find too much info about the BBK instacharger, but i ordered a BBK catalog so hopefully that will clear some things up.

Thanks unit,

Kenne bell said they'd send me some information and gave me a contact for a nearby distributor and i'm getting a BBK catalog. I couldn't find an application for my car on the whipplecharger page, but it was interesting anyway.

The KB blower takes the place of the upper intake. Easy install, self contained oil, with the bypass- low temps, torque all over the place.

I knew it was one of the two (upper/lower) intake manifolds....that makes it very convenient because it cuts down on cost a little bit and also because i don't want alot of plumbing cluttering up my engine bay. Thanks everyone,

Screw Blower Dillema

If you got a MOD-MOTOR and you put a screw or a roots on it your got real problems with the tune up. The computer doesnt like um a-tall.

Here's what we have to do to get the tune up fixed.

1) Get 30 lbs injectors
2) Change all fuel lines to larger
3) Take the pump out of the tank and throw it away & get an external pump and adaptor to go in the tank it takes (1/2 ID Inlet line) 2 190 Z-Rex pumps hooked together with 1/2 inch OD fuel lines going to the engine.
4) Now you have to add 3 or 4 injectors to the top of the blower to get it to idle properly and take throttle at low rpm's.
5) Ignition Timing is very critical so find a chassis dyno service to help you solve that problem.

be aware that there are two lower intakes used with the KB blowers for 5.0 engines - stock lower and GT40 style lower - know which one you need for the blower you choose.

whichever one you choose, port your lower intake or you'll leave power on the table.

I just havent seen anything impressive with a roots on a 5.0, But i know they are pretty bad sc's, especially with the torque like mentioned above, to each their own i guess, I like the turbo boost feeling you get from a centrifugal blower (all topend), but when i rode in a bonestock 5.0 with a turbo, i realized all blower's are really a waste of money, Turbo is it.... especially if your trying to be one of the badboys at the track.
With the torque a turbo makes, you get the twinscrew feeling all the way to an rpm you choose to blow it at
