Every GT comes with a 8.8, was your a conversion? or is it a real GT? If it is then its, of course, a 8.8.
By the way, 3.73's are great!

not ALL gt's are 8.8 i don't think they changed them all to 8.8 till 86 or so?
i have an 84 with a 7.5.. if you go to summit online catalogue, they show gaskets of the rear diff bolt pattern.. the 7.5 is oval and the 8.8 is more round..

Maybe I need to be more clear. ALL 87 - 93 Gt's have 8.8 axles in them.

Are you installing them? If you are, do you know you need to check/set the backlash with a dail idicator and a few other important things? Just warining you if you didn't know.

Black Sheep
Not trying to get flamed or anything, but is the 86 GT the black sheep of the family?
The 1986 Mustang GT's were the first V8 Mustangs to get the 8.8 because of how much torque the new fuelie engine was making. The 4 headlight cars are really starting to become hard to find.
