Question 9 inch rear

I am looking to buy a 9 inch rear for my 89GT and am wondering if anyone else has bought one, or has any experience with the 9 inch rears. I want something bulletproof that when I mini-tub the car in a few years I can just have the rear narrowed and get shorter axles. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I'm running a narrowed Ford 9 inch in my truck, it's tubbed. I'm shooting for low 10's, 9's.
