90 LX with 03 Cobra Engine
 

Hey guys, i was wondering how many have tried putting a 03 Cobra engine in a 5.0. Where did you get the engine at and how much did it cost. Also, is there anything special you need to know about putting this engine in. Thanks for the help.

Not sure if anyone on here has done it. I had a vid on my computer of a notch with the 03 cobra engine in it. They claimed the motor was bone stock and the car ran 11.04. Maybe someone on here has the vid.

I haven't seen that yet, but it sounds like a sweet project! I have seen write ups with the mod motors in Fox body's, but never the '03 Cobra engine.

That car was in MM&FF on page 132 in the february issue. It goes like 10.50's at 127 now! Car has a custom exhaust and a speed-pro. Also got a K-member to fit a mod motor and a cusom fuel system. I have HEARD that an 03 cobra motor from ford was 12,000$. I dont know if this true, but that is a chunk of change to lay down for a 400HP motor. Look up Alternative Auto for info on how much the spent. I bet it was a lot.
