Default 93 2.3l newbie

I have just bought a 93 2.3 4 cylinder pony, and would love to know if anyone can point me in the right direction, I always worked on imports so you can guess im clueless on this one, all I can find is 5.0 stuff, is it interchangeable? and also I would like to turbocharge this, does anyone have any info, that you would like to share with me, Thank you very much Id love to hear if you have this type of car and you have modded it and what you have done, Thanks!!!

If you want to stay cheap, look for a turbocharged engine from a 87-88 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe or a late 80's Merkur XR4-Ti. The intercooled engines developed more power than their non-intercooled predecessors from the early/mid 80s. That will start you off with a base engine that is designed to handle the additional power. The stock '93 2.3 isn't nearly as strong.

Getting 250hp out of a turbo 2.3L won't be a problem.
