Dynomax super turbos or flow-tech afterburner mufflers

Trying to decide between the Dynomax super turbos or Flow-tech afterburner mufflers. I 've never heard about the flow-tech brand and was wondering if anyone has used them or know how they sound in terms of loudness.

Seems flowtech is kinda cheap quality, i have their headers, and i had to re-weld a spot.
However They do serve their purpose , never heard the mufflers, but i heard they are loud, as you prolly know, according to most people here, the dynomax are nice sound, and real good quality.

Summit racing has two part numbers for the dynomax mufflers and one is $11 cheaper than the other. I compared them and can't see a difference besides price. They both have the offset inlet/outlet pipes, which I need...other than that, they look the same.
One part# is: WLK-17732 and the other is WLK-17735
Anyone know the difference?

hmm, maybe one pt# has a different coating?
I hate to get off the brand subject, but i wish someone would put some hooker aero chambers on a windsor foxbody preferably, www.mustangexhaust.com has some clips, but only on the modulars.
Im seriously considering the hookers, the muffler that is :)

Only difference I can see are the dimensions. WLK-17732 is 18.5 long, 4.25 thick, and 9.75 wide. The "35" is the same except it is 18.5 wide. It also specifically mentions the fox bodies, where as the "32" is a universal type thing. ;)

I have a flowtech afterburner on my 04 F150 (6 cyl). I dont have a clue what they sound like on a mustang, but, it sounds much better on my truck than I have heard a flowmaster sound on the same trucks (although, it will always sound like a 6 cyl). I have never heard a dynomax on these trucks either. Dynomax do sound good on mustangs though.

As far as the quality of the muffler, it was great. There were no issues with it from a quality standpoint.

If you go with the dynomax, they are quiet at 1st.. almost to quiet.. but they get louder over a month or so.. I like mine and would get them again...

Yeah, I saw that but I can't believe the "35" is 18.5 wide! That's the width of about two mufflers! That CAN'T be right!
Unless they have the factory mounting brackets for the hangers....
I don't want to get something that won't work either.

How soon are you looking to get these? I'll be at Summit next week sometime, I can make them pull them off the shelf and snap a quick pic or two for ya. :D

I'm lookin to order pretty soon but I should just call their tech line and ask them the difference. I would think the universal ones should work just as well. I still doubt they are 18.5 wide though.....can't be....
Oh, yeah, stay tuned....I'm taking the beast back to the track tomorrow afternoon for some T&T

I had a set of Super Turbos on my 88 LX,nice mellow tone at idle and a bassy rich tone through the rpms.Torque was improved.I had 2.25" ones.

I installed an off road H pipe and man, did that really wake things up.Awesome midrange and top end power. The sound was wicked, except while cruising at 65 mph on the highway.I had 3.08 gears.Hope that helps
