95 cobra intake help
I just got done installing a cobra intake on my mustang. Everything went well no major problems until I was done.
No the car heats up fast and goes all the way to the (a) on normal. Prior to the install it rode between the (O , and the R) I double checked the thermostat its good (Installed Right). last week I installed Fluidyne Radiator, new hoses, Thermostat, and temp Sender. The upper hose gets hot so I would assume fluid is flowing. I did notice the upper hose gets really hard like theres alot of pressure. Is this Normal? Any suggestion on what to look at to correct this would be great. Thanks |
No, it's not suppose to get that hot and the hoses are not suppose to get that hard. This may be a stupid question/idea, but did you double check to make sure the heaterhoses were installed correctly?

I just unscrewed it from the original intake and screwed it right in to the new one. I did not undo any hoses other that the thermostat bypass hose and the upper rad. hose. I will check that out. The heater works fine.
When I installed the intake I used studs to guide the intake so the gasket didnt slip out of place. |
Got It. The problem was the cheap Thermostat from AutoZone.
Bought a Heavy duty from Napa. Now its all better. So the point of the story is Don't Buy an autozone brand thermostat. Only lasted a week. |
