Do you have a spare key. Sounds like a worn key issue. Try the spare.

Flip the key over and try it. Double sided key, but only need one side to make the tumblers work.

Electric locks?

no electric locks and both sides of the key have nice rounded off edges almost smooth. it is weird cause i can get into the trunk and the doors but only turning it to the right and this is with the key trying both sides. since it is on both locks i would have to assume a key issue. any way to have a key made off the vin number or can the smoothed key be used to make a good copy.

Yes, but I would go to a locksmith to have it done. They should be able to read your key and make adjustments. Also, if this doesn't work, they'll be able to give you some ideas.
