Post A9P computer?? hurting performance??

Awhile back a buddy and I installed a A9P computer in my car to see what it would do. We didnt notice much but maybe a bit higher rev. Well, I have now added about every one of my mods in my sig. and am wanting to know if this computer can be hurting my performance in any way. Really wanting to make sure its not a Speed Density computer. Thanks for any advice....

Don't worry it's not a speed-density EEC. The A9P is the EEC out of 89-92 Mustangs (5.0) equipped with automatic trannies. To be honest with you, your heads/intake/cam combination is way too small for the increased cubes of the 347. That heads/cam/intake is small for a 302. Your car is probably making in the 270-290rwhp range, with a boat load of torque (340-350 ft/lbs). You need bigger heads (AFR 185 or stage II TW's), better flowing intake (Holley is second to none) and more cam. Then, and only then will you see the benefits of the 347.

I am in the process of saving up for a new intake. I was planning on the edelbrock..I was then going to purchase a custom ground cam.

The A9P is just about if not the most aggressive Ford computer you can get. No, it's not hurting performance.
