Talking AC delete?

ive seen a lot of people taking out their AC's. i was wondering if i should do the same? im a daily driver and the temperature around here averages about 70 degrees all year long. could i by pass the AC with a belt that is for a mustang without an AC? thanks for the help guys.

Go with a Ford Racing A/C delete kit. The March kit is cheasy. Unless you buy March's deluxe power steering mount which is kind of like the Ford kit, but it's a lot better looking. But after looking at their site I don't see the deluxe version for the 5.0L. Only the 351W version is shown. Here's the page...

As for the belt, yeah you can bypass the A/C. It's not going to do you enough good to worry about it though unless you actually pull the compressor. It's more of a weight savings rather than trying to gain power by eliminating pulley drag.

2FastLX - thanks for pointing out that the picture from March performance was only available for the 351's - I thought it was for a 302 as well. Guess not! Now I can quit looking for it!

Well actually, on my way out the door for work I grabbed my March brochure and they have this kit for 302's and 351W's. They just don't have them listed on their web site. This is normal. Call them and see what they can do. They have the nicest looking stuff for Fords I think.
