Clutch cable Help!
I bought a new adjustable clutch cable with a bullet quadrant and installed it two weeks ago. Ever since then, I've had to tighten the cable at least 7 times becuase after a few days of driving, I would have to jack the up and adjust the nut on the end of the cable because the shifter would become hard to put into gear. At first I thought that the nut would work it's way back off the cable because of vibration from the engine, but now I don't have anymore thread left on the cable to tighten the nut with. And the shifter is becoming hard to put into gear.
Does this mean that my clutch cable has stretch, or is there something wrong with my clutch or clutch fork?

I went through a few cables because it was too close to my headers. It would heat the cable and stretch it until it would snap. I finally had the cable wrapped with that thermal header wrap and it solved the problem.
hope this helped

Yeah, I wrap the cable in header wrap before I installed it. So I don't think heat is an issue. But that for your advice.
