I was helping my friend with his '94 GT today and I went to advance the timing to 14 degrees like I have done on all my fox body cars. When I went to disconnect the SPOUT connector I realized there isn't one... I'm sure this is not news to most of you.

I remember reading something a while ago about how the ignition on a 94 was different than the earlier ones, I believe they switched from EECIV to EECV that year. Is it possible to adjust the timing on the newer 5.0 like you can on a fox body? Thanks. Jeff

The SPOUT connector is located at next to the Air cleaner box. Adjust the timing on 94/95 5.0 is just like any FOX 5.0

I need to change mine back to stock settings in order to pass smog. Does anyone know the stock timing on a 94-95 5.0? A brief how to would also be very much appreciated.

Sotck and safe is 10 degrees advanced. Use a timing gun and pull the spout connector out, it's on the passengerside fenderwell, start the car and set the timing to 10 degrees by moving the dist until the balancer reads 10, hold the dist there, kill the car, tighten the dist down, replace the spout connector. Your done. have you ever used a timing light before?

No I haven't, but I do own one. You change the timing while the car is running?
