Got a reply from AFR today. The tech said go with the 165's on a 302. Great with a blower. 185's would be fine with a 347, of course, but the 165's would flow quite enough to support a strong low and mid range curve with the larger stroker motor. And the previous post was definitely correct, after AFR cnc's their heads, there isn't too much left to remove. they're very nice heads and the staff so far has been very courteous.
ALSO...HE ADVISED THE 185's REQUIRE FLYCUTTING THE PISTONS ON A 302, JUST FYI FOR YOU GUYS!
