Need help identifying cam

My buddy just pulled the cam out of my block last night, and we can't figure out which it is or who makes it. There is no manufacturer stamp and only these numbers:

444-231
4961754
44-31-97

Originally my old mechanic who built me my old motor, put in a split duration cam. However I had someone else measure the lift a year later, and it was .499 an E-cam. Well Crane names the E-cam for Ford and there is not any Crane markings at all! Any help is greatly appreciated!

i went to crane web site and used some of those numbers and here's what i found for you. A cam card for the crane 2040 cam came up when i did a search with the numbers you gave me. the 44-31-97 is date code the 444231 is cam number
