Air conditioning cump keeps running

With the air turned off, the pump kicks on and off. What could cause this?

It doesn't blow real cold air when it is on. Could low referigerant cause the pump to run?

Thanks

low refrigarant won't cause it to run, just won't work as good(if frigarant gets to low it will mess up compresser though)

if the defroster or mix setting is on the compressor will run....might be it,if not you can just unplug compesser.....won't run

It runs in the off position.

I did unplug it.

But in normal usage, what is it that causes the pump to engage? Is it refrigerant pressure? tempature? I'm wondering if there is some kind of sensor or relay somewhere that could be malfunctioning.

My 93lx is doing the same thing. Maybe it's normal.

Is it possible your control is in the defrost mode?
