Air conditioning not working

Had to take my Daughter to the doctor today and discovered my
A/C is not working. The compressor clutch does not appear to be engaging. the pulley spins, but the inside does not. I have checked the fuses according to the users manual, and they are good.

Can anyone tell me how to check this problem--what voltage I should see at the compressor when the ac is on etc?

Thanks,

You should probably put a set of gauges on the system to check the freon level. If it's low, the low pressure cut-out switch on the accumulator/drier won't allow the compressor to kick in. This saves it from burning itself up for lack of oil.

You can pull the plug off the switch and touch the two terminals together at the wire. That would engage the clutch if you have current.

Same as Maroon 5.0 LX.

If there's a leak . You can try to find it with looking for oil leak around the connectors of the line, on the condenser or the compressor.
