I had the Auto Meter gauge and I actually tied to the signal wires before the computer connection. You can use #29 to monitor the right O2 or 43 for the left O2. The Auto Meter gauge has three wires. red is to 12V, black to ground and purple to one of the two signal wires mentioned above. And BTW it only gives you an actual reading at WOT. The rest of the time they bounce all around and look cool but don't give you any usefull info. Did you pull codes to see if you had any for the O2"s? Good luck!
