Default Thoughts on "stop leak"

Hey guys, my wifes car (Chev Cavalier) is leaking oil from the real seal. Using these engine stop leaks, will it harm the car? Is there a brand to avoid? Is best?

My car could use some, but I'm just going to replace the seals this winter. I don't think my wife's car is worth my time.

I wouldn't waste my money on it. It is designed to re-vitalize seals that have dried up and shrunk, like on a car that has sat for a long time, not to fix worn out or ripped seals. On the other hand, its not going to hurt anything to try it, and if it does fix it, (doubtful) thats a bonus.

All you need to do is pick up some Prolong, that way you can just drain the oil and drive it around town. It can't leak if theres no oil in there
