E-303 Idles
Well I replaced my head gaskets and a fixed a bunch of little crap on my motor weekend before last.
Turned down the fuel pressure quite a bit, and set the timing to 15. It idles great now. I have it idling at about 1100rpm when I come to a stop, but when I put in the clutch driving it idles around 1400-1500. I really don't mind. The best thing is that there is NO surge at all, and it doesnt want to consttantly die like it used to. It idles better with the less timing I give it. Im going to time it back up to around 20, and see how it does. Skyler

Those HP numbers is that with NOS or without?

Stock Bottom End 302. With TFS stage II ported and milled heads. Anderson B2 cam with 1.6RR. Hooker Full Tube Headers flowing into offroad H-Pipe out Hooker mufflers. Ported Edelbrock Preformer Upper/Lower. Lots of other Goodies... Just bought a nice forged 331 stroker kit for a new block that should be ready to take 650hp of abuse. |

That idle is a bit high. Try lowering it to about 900 and see what happens. Also you might need to play the TPS shuffle as well.
