![]() I'm asking the following question in this forum because you are the people I associate with on this board.....
Anyway, what is the longest anyone has had a car battery last. That goes for any car any battery. I've gotten 6 years and a couple of months, before it would no longer hold a charge. Why do people like my in-laws and the guys at my local Autzone tell me I'm full of it???? I've had more than one battery last for better than 6 years on everyday use cars. I've never done any maintenance at all to any battery. What's your experience?

![]() I've never actually marked a calendar, but I've gotten 5 or 6 years before. Batteries aren't very complicated. They are designed to fail 1-3 months before their warranty expires. Really. That's how they get you to come back. May sound like a joke, but it's not.
