Default Aluminum Radiator for 94 GT

Hey MWers!

I'm shopping for a new aluminum radiator ever since I spied a cute lil coolant leak under the 'Stang this afternoon and I had a few questions about the FRPP 2 core sucka.

I'm not sure if its the radiator yet, but it started around 3 pm this afternoon, and I just went out to go to the store (11:45 pm) and the low coolant light popped on, so who knows? I'll be checking during the day tomorrow

My question is, the catalog says the radiator is for 79-93 stangs, with "minor modifications needed for other Fox vehicles". Have any of you SN-95 owners installed one of these babies in YOUR car? How easy was it, and what did you have to modify?

Thanks in advance!
Belle

I don't know much about the SN-95 stangs.... but I got mine racing radiator from a local company. They are called "Performance Radiators". My car runs really cool (just hot enought to open my therastat ). It's just a 2 core but it runs better then some 3 cores I have seen. I would stay away from Aluminum rads. They can carode (sp?) and deteriate on the inside and that will go into your motor. I'm sure someone else will disagree with me but that's just my two cents.

BTW: Where have you been? Haven't talked to you in forever

ok....

I filled 'er up this morning, just went out a few hours later, and NOT ONE SINGLE DROP of coolant under the car...

Oh well..knowing my luck, the radiator will spontaneously combust while I'm sitting in NJ traffic!!! argh!

hey stranger.... check for leaks after you've driven it for a while... might not leak unless the system is under pressure... ;-)
check the hose clamps if you already didnt...

belle, this is just a guess but did you look at the weep hole under the water pump, it may be bad, or maybe a loose or bad hose. just a wild guess before you spend lots of money on a radiator

Hey everyone thanks for all the advice! When I went to have my AC checked today I had them do a coolant leak test as well, and they said she's fit as a whistle! So who knows what the leak was? Odd, but I'm not gonna question it
