Post aluminum or steel?

I was wondering if steel performance pulleys are just as good as aluminum? Is there much difference other than price?

Other than the rotating mass, they should perform their tasks identically. Since aluminum is lighter than steel rotating all of them may make a 1/2 hp difference or something.

Almost forgot to mention rust and corrosion problems. I don't know if I'd want to mix steel and aluminum. Steel rusts, but aluminum has a nasty tendancy to corrode to steel causing all kinds of problems.
