am I running lean or rich or what?

I just put in new plugs about 1000 miles ago. I just got back from the track, and I made 15passes I used Nos octane booster offroad formula I ran it hard and when I got home I pulled the pulgs( Just to check!!!!) My plugs are coated with a Tanish red coating on the inslator. Is this ok???????

Ps: best run was 13.66 @102.55 on shitty street tires with 2.1 60 foot times and a Aod what do ya think?

Oh! ya I checked 4 plugs all the same Thing?

You may have glazed your plugs a bit doing all the runs. Plugs become glazed when your doing alot of hard accelerating. Probably the best thing is to just change to a little colder plug heat range. But it doesnt sound like your running rich or anything.

the red coating is from the octane booster.

Yep, you are correct.

What are your mods, geno5.0?

The NOS booster also turned my plugs red. I made Murray's buy me a new set of plugs after that one, and yes it did feel a little different (as in SLOWER) after that junk.

Get a good shift kit for that AOD, a BIG tranny cooler, a new throttle body grommet for the TV cable, and adjust the TV cable to the proper tension. You can go over to Baumann Engineering to get the full explanation on adjusting the TV cable, which is one of the most important pieces to the survival of your AOD.
