Default Anderson PMS 02 readings...

Gents,
The stang has been in layup for a while and I started driving it again regularly last week.
I've noticed the 02 sensor readings on my Anderson PMS data screen are all over the place. I know that the stock 02's are non-linear so it never sits at .46 like it's supposed to.
My prob is that the readings fluctuate from .00 to .72 and everything in btwn.
Is this typical with stock 02's or has anyone managed to get some voltage stability with stock 02's?

I see the same thing on the stock 02 reading - but on my PMS on the wideband reading it sees the correct voltage and gives the right read out. If you're only looking at the stock 02's I'd be inclined to say what you see is ok...

Thanks Rich,
I haven't installed my wideband yet. It's been in the trunk for over a year, yeah I know...lame.
Doesn't do a hell of a lot of good in there...

O2 readings should be toggling. That's how the computer manages when in closed loop. Only in open loop will you see a steady O2 output, hopefully at your commanded lambda. In closed loop, the O2 should toggle anywhere from about .1V to .8V with .45V being stoichiometric. The computer will add a small amount of fuel; when the O2 responds with a voltage above .45V the computer then removes a small amount of fuel and looks for the O2 voltage to fall below .45V. This toggling action is the computer's management of fueling. It then learns and makes corrections based on the amount of fuel it has to add to induce this toggling.

Thanks, Jeff. I just wanted to confirm that it's just pointless trying to tweek the fuel curves with the stock 02 sensor outputs to the pms.
Without the wideband or some time on the EGA, it seems tough.
