Any one buy a cowl hood from Mustangs Unlimited

Any experience with fit and finish, also how can you measure how big of a cowl you need, I swapped in a 351 with a Trick Flow Upper intake will 2 ¼ be big enough.

Take a look at www.carbonfibermanufacturing.com They have great quality and really good prices.

I really want to drive locally to pick the hood up, rather then spend $100 on shipping

hey tony u live really close to me, maybe i've seen ya around. i would call mustangs unlimited tech line. i believe its 1(810)-468-1356 and ask for a tech. if that number doesn't work call their 800 number and ask for the local tech line. they are very helpful! i haven't bought a hood there, but i have bought lots of other stuff there and have never had a problem with them! good luck!!

CFM shipped my hood for like $25.00 I would get a price quote from them. And go from there.

My '90 GT's 2 1/2" cowl-induction hood came from Cervini's Auto Designs. It was $379.00 for the hood (part number 105), and $73 dollars shipping to my door. This hood is smooth on both sides (no rough fiberglass showing on the under side like the el-cheapos) Cervini's claim to fame is the guaranteed "fit". My hood, right out of the box, required ZERO retrimming or reshaping. Just clean, prime, shoot and put it on! If you buy that cheap junk, be prepared to pay the body man for the time it will most likely take him to make the hood fit, before he can even think about priming and painting it! So much for saving on the shipping cost! Cervini's Auto Designs, www.cervinis.com , 1-800-488-6057.
