If your gonna put an offroad pipe on the car grab the heatshields off the cat pipe and have them tack welded on. They will not fit the same as the on the stock pipe because of the diameter diff. Stuff some insulation inside it and paint it black so they cant see the pipe inside.
personally my car passes with an offroad pipe so it works out fine.
