Anyone here port there stock heads intake?

I plan to remove mine(heads/intake) when I do a major tune up this winter. I have heard that cleaning them(intake) out with oven cleaner is a good idea but why not port them while I am at it? I have a little experience with my Drag bike head. Any suggestions? What about extrude honing the intake? Just looking for a little easy gain while it is apart anyway, don't want to spend a whole lot though.

When I blew a head gasket on my old GT a couple years ago, I had my stock heads ported. I didn't really know much about it on them, but the machinist showed me an emissions lump (I believe that's what it was), he ground it down and ported them some. It was a good improvement. Like I said though, I don't know very much about machine work, so somebody else might know a better option. Hopefully I helped a little.

My stock heads are ported, polished and milled with a 3 angle valve job and trick flow springs.

I installed those along with a GT-40P intake and knocked off 7 tenths in the 1/4 and gained a few mph.

I have well over $600.00 in my stock heads but I out run lots of cars with AFR and trickflow heads.

Its worth it if you do it right.
