Anyone Installed a New T-5 within the past 60days???

I am having some noises come out of a new T-5. Checking to see if these are normal during break in or is there something wrong???

i just put a tremec in my car about 3 days ago, what kind of noises are you hearing?

Like a meshing, clicking sound. Like when the synchros were going bad in the old T-5

really dont know what your talking about, is this a rebuilt t5 or is it totally new?

What kind of noises?, be more descriptive, and when you say "new", do you mean "brand new out of the box?" or "different, new to you?"

well its been almost a yr since i put mine in, it felt weird while breaking in, it was a rebuilt t-5, and 3rd gear felt like the sync was not right, but im used to it now, now 2nd gear pops out when its cold only, im going tremec next time.

world crap t-5's no more for me.

Brand New out of the box from Tommie Vaughn FORD Dealership
noise is louder in 5th gear. u can hear it in 4th but slightly

I just installed a Rebuilt T5 into the 88 on tuesday. It should be back on the road tonight (just want to double check everything) and ill let you know if there are any strange noises comming from it. As long as its not as bad as the old one. It sounded like someone was doing roadwork only it was from under the car and only in 3rd.

i had the same problem with my t5 from my 95 i was on the highway and dropped it into 3rd and boom, i sheered all the teeth off of the 3rd gear and the cluster. quality t5's

It was actually blown when I got the car. More reason to make sure you can test drive a car. The previous owner neglected to tell us that and 5.0L T-5's are hard as hell to find here in Edmonton. But the new one is in and working good. There are no noises besides a little bit of whine from the gears but im assuming thats cause its brand new. Its also a bit notchy but other than that it works great.
