I have been looking at the kit from TransGo. I have heard nothing but good things for this kit. Depending on the responses that this topic gets, I might have to order a shift kit.

I've heard lots of good stuff about TransGo shift kits. That and a converter, you should be out of the normal AOD league. Now, all of us stock AOD guys can do the Slow Stang Shuffle! WOOHOO! *does the Slow Stang Shuffle*

I highly recommend the Karl Baumann kit. I used one in my '91 LX and it is VERY thorough, but pricier than lets say, a B&M unit, of which I put in my E 250 last summer. I compared the instructions from both kits when I was doing it, and the Baumann kit addresses issues and areas B&M doesnt. I used some of the Baumann mods, and it works that much better. Next time i'll just spend the money. Like everything else in life, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Check out www.baumannengineering.com. Oh yeah, get the 'A'overdrive servo(from Ford), and the largest trans cooler you can find.

I have run the Transgo kit for about 2 years now. I would recommend it to anyone for any AOD. It's a very great and comprehensive kit with everything you need...even drill bits and a video. Anyway, Baumann also makes a good kit.
