Wink

My car was originally a five speed. I liked it, but knew it wouldn't be consistent at the drags. I actually bought a "Full Race C-4" & 9" converter, in the hopes of running quick AND consistently. I never put it in, due to the fact that my car IS a street car, and I couldn't bear to lose the OverDrive! I also, at one time, thought the AOD was weak, and didn't have any potential. I dug through all of my old 5.0, Super Ford, and MM&FF magazines reading everything I could possibly find about the AOD tranny. I first called Precision Industries about a converter, after high recommendations from everyone who has one. My next call, was to LenTech in Canada. I quizzed them for almost 40 minutes, with every possible question I could think of. They were very knowledgeable and took the time to put my fears at ease. I actually ordered my valve body before I even bought the used AOD that's in my car now...The best part was...due to the quality valve body, and proper torque converter for my application, I actually picked up 2/10's over my previous 5 speeds best.

I was so pleased with my new setup, I e-mailed LenTech. My car, right now, is on their "Customer's Cars" section. Same with PI.

I'm done....

NOS_Notch, I haven't been out to Gratiot yet, but I can tolerate a camaro fest to a point as long as Gratiot doesn't turn into a ricer/import fest. Now that would SUCK!!! I don't think that will happen though. Too much Detroit muscle roaming around!
